Being one of the most popular sports on the planet, there is no doubt that many people like to practice tennis in their free time.
A popular way to practice tennis is by taking lessons or playing with a friend. But what about playing competitively?
This is where tennis mix-ins come in. A Mix-in is essentially a set of tennis games where you can compete with other players of a similar level in a lightly competitive spirit.
Mix-ins are a great way to challenge yourself as a tennis player, improve your skills and even make new friends.
The great thing about mix-ins is that anyone can play, regardless of your level and skill.
How they work
Usually, you will be split into groups depending on your skill level and will take on a player of similar ability. After a match or number of sets set by the organiser hosting the event, usually a trainer of the club, you will then move on to the next round. You play a series of matches until you reach a determined time set by the organiser. This way, you can put your abilities to the test by playing with various different people in a session.
How can I join?
The great thing about Mix-ins is, anyone can join! Most of the time, it’s not necessary for you to be a member of a club to participate.
Riviera Sport Club host tennis mix-ins every week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11am to 13:00pm for tennis and padel mix-ins every Friday from 19:00pm to 21:00 and Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, where anyone can join!
